We have a 3 bedroom condo in Keystone located at the Mountain House base area. In fact it's right behind and beside the Mountain House Lodge. It's about 30 yards from Mountain House and the Keystone Ski School on the same walkway as they're on. This also makes us about 60 feet from the Argentine and Peru ski lift. This is in the Chateaux d'Mont condo complex if you want to look it up on Keystone's maps. You'll find it right between the Medical Center and Mountain House. You're going to have to look up next to the slopes, though, not back by Route 6 like you're used to! Really. Go ahead and look. We'll wait. Ok, you're back? Great...

So, you see how close we are to the slopes. We tell people this who've never been there and they still ask "how far is the shuttle"? We're like: what? The ski lift -is- your shuttle! It's like... right over "there" (picture us gesturing out the window at a ski lift). There's no shuttle you need to take! Walk out the door of the building, cross the walk, you're on the slopes. It's that easy! Really! No Kidding! There are no cars or busses or shuttles or wagons involved! Just skiing! That's what you're here for, isn't it?!?
So: Our unit faces the slopes. You can sit on the deck with a cup of coffee or cocoa and watch the skiers go by. It's on the second floor so it's not like people are walking by looking in on you or anything! That would wig me out, don't know about you!
The condo has a full wood-burning fireplace, we provide the wood for you! Bring your mom and dad for a family vacation - even if they don't like the snow, they can sit by the fire, watch skiers outside, listen to the stereo, watch a DVD, and just hang out. (And maybe they'll sneak into the hot tub while you and your kids are out skiing!)
Yes, the condo has it's own private hot-tub. It's "in-unit" but not like buried away in the basement or anything... it's in it's own "solarium" type of room with windows that you can open, and with a door that opens onto the deck. So - you can get verrry relaxed without having to worry about dashing across some outdoor parking lot or a common patio or lobby when you're finished to get back to your rooms. In fact, you can go grab some nachos you have in the oven with cheese melting all over them, fix a drink, get back in the hot tub, and not worry about having to share it with some family from outer Mongolamia who's been waiting to get in for the last 20 minutes. It's all yours! Hog the hot-tub all you want!!!

We mentioned an oven... it's under the Jen-Aire Range. Next to the Sub-Zero refridgerator where all those cold drinks are waiting! Do the dishes? Nah, put 'em in the dishwasher, let -it- do the dishes. You go on. Have a good time! It's a vacation, right?
Three bathrooms. We know you were just about to ask. All full baths - tubs, showers, hair dryers, and since you're reading this, you're obviously going to be the one in the master bedroom where there's a private little jetted-tub in the private master bathroom! Ok, so your friends or family think -they- got the good rooms where the queen size bed and the queen size futon are in one of 'em, and the kids are all in that other room with the full size bed and the full size futon. But you've got the king size bed, and a full size futon, a private deck, a walk-in cedar closet, and that private little jetted hot-tub of your own we mentioned before... it makes heading off to bed it's own mini vacation! And don't worry, there's a TV with a DVD player and a VCR in your room too, just like in the other two bedrooms. And yes, it's all on cable so even if it's snowing up something crazy outside, you can still catch Commander-In-Chief. Or West Wing. Or, ok, Donald Trump. (we were trying to give you the benefit of the doubt up to this point!)
Want some options on restaurants? This condo is right in the middle of Keystone, front and center, and so everything's within, like, a mile, maybe two at the most. We're talking 20 restaurants, with anything from Southeastern French cuisine at Champeaux to cuisine with a Bavarian accent at Alpen Stube (located at the top of 11,444 ft tall North Peak...). Ok, you guessed it if you didn't already know. We said "cuisine" like these places are fancy. They're BOTH AAA Four Diamond restaurants! If that's (ahem) too frou-frou for you, just walk or shuttle or drive around back to Rt 6 and hit Dos Locos for a Crazy Burrito! Ask for the "mean green chili". Tell 'em we sent you. Need more options? There's Pizza, Buffalo Burgers, steaks, Italian, more Mexican, Chinese, high-brow, low-brow, whatever fits the mood of the evening! All in the neighborhood.
Ok, you came for some Skiing or Snowboarding, right?!?
We told you how we're about 60 feet from the Argentine and Peru lifts. And, oh, this is wild: the Peru lift takes you right to the top of the "Area 51" terrain park! If you have teens or anybody in your group that wants to watch something fun or they want to get crazy, this is the place! And it's also open at night! Yup - Area 51 is the largest Night Terrain Park in Colorado. In America? Maybe! But wait a second, it's very cool in the daytime too: a 400 foot super pipe, a variety of rails and funboxes, a challenging two-jump jumpline with multiple take-offs leading into an Alpine snow bowl.. what more do you want?

Skiing? Oh baby, listen to this: skiing Keystone is one of the best kept secrets of Colorado skiers! You can come and ski like a local too! Keystone features 3,148 skiable acres (larger than Breckenridge!) on three mountains with 3,128 vertical feet from base (9,280 feet) to peak (12,408 feet), 19 Lifts, 230 inches of average snowfall, short lift lines and with 116 trails with the longest run being Schoolmarm's 3.5 miles of fun the kids will go crazy over! Our kids "grew up" in Keystone's ski school... with one of the nicest set of instructors you're going to find. The Keystone ski-school is second to none in getting new skiers of all ages and confidence levels up and going! No wonder Ski Magazine rated the ski school here as one of it's "Best Bets"!
One last aside... your ski pass will let you ski and ride A-Basin and Breckenridge, too! Arapahoe Basin is literally about 10 minutes away, Breck is maybe 20, but it depends on traffic and weather conditions. Keystone is a great central location!
So maybe you're looking for a week long vacation - you buy a ski-4-out-of-6 day pass, and want some other fun stuff to do: you're only a few miles from Factory Outlet stores, movies, bookstores, and more at the sister towns of Silverthorne and Dillon! Yes, I admit, our family will actually go to the movies while we're on vacation. We're on v-a-c-a-t-i-o-n! (Go ahead, just have fun, that's what you're here for!)
Just need some "me" time? Try the Keystone Lodge Spa for Facials, Massage Therapy or a refreshing Body Treatment! Also within the Keystone valley you'll find many fine art and gift boutiques.
So, we hope you're inspired. Check out our availability...
